Q: Does the color of my sunscreen affect the amount of heat reduction?

A: The darker colors (black and brown) will block a slightly higher percentage of heat compared to the lighter colors. The difference is minimal.

 

Q: How much will my sunscreens darken my room?

A: Your room will only be darkened by about 20-25%. This means that 75-80% of the light will still enter the room.

 

Q: Do the sunscreens lower the temperature inside my house?

A: Yes, they can lower the temperature up to 15 degrees.

 

Q: Do the sunscreens offer any privacy?

A: Sunscreens provide daytime privacy. Your neighbors cannot see into your house during the day, but you can still see outside.

 

Q: Will the sunscreens protect my furniture and floors?

A: Yes, the sunscreens will block up to 80% of the damaging UV rays that fade and destroy furniture and flooring.

 

Q: How are the sunscreens installed?

A: The mounting method depends on your window and how easily you want to remove the screens for window cleaning. They can be directly screwed onto the window or mounted with clips for easier removal.

A: Standard price is $8 per square foot and includes the custom-built frame, spline, screen, and installation. Second story installations and higher are slightly more per square foot.

 

Q: Will my electric bill drop?

A: Many customers report a dramatic drop in their electric bill. Remember, you are stopping up to 80% of the sun's heat BEFORE it reaches the window!

 

Q: Do the sunscreens work in the winter?

A: The sunscreens help insulate the window during the winter months. They prevent heat loss through the windows and help lower your heating costs.

 

Q: Can I still see outside after the screens are mounted?

A: YES! You will still have a great view looking from inside to the outside.

 

Q: Do you have any guarantees?

A: We guarantee our workmanship for one year after the date of install. Our manufacturer offers a free limited lifetime warranty for the entire time you own your home!

 

Q: Why not just use window film?

A: Film, blinds, and insulated drapes do not block, reflect, and absorb the solar rays before they pass through the glass. Over time film has a tendency to peel away from the window.

 

Q: How long will it take to install my screens?

A: Depending on the colors you choose, installation usually begins within 10 days. Once we arrive at your location the sunscreen installation usually averages 4 hours or less.
